A Case study on a non pharmaceutical approach to a facial skin problem. |
Condition as described by customer: “I have suffered from this skin condition for 2 years. I have seen a Dermatologist, who performed a biopsy, and have seen my GP regularly. The cause has not been identified.” Treatments that have been used as described by customer: “the prescribed treatment has been 0.05% steroid cream (Eumovate). It is unpredictable and very distressing. My face becomes intensely itchy, inflamed, hot, and often involves swelling around the eyes. If untreated, it spreads and resembles a burn. Eventually the red patches become dry tight areas of eczema which often have deep lines. Unfortunately most moisturisers and emollient products I have tried produce even more irritation as my skin reacts to their "emollient agent". As you can imagine, when the condition is acute, it has caused much distress.” |
| The results as described by customer: “The Salcura Intensive Spray reduced the redness, inflammation and itching in 24 hours. I continued to use it with Zeoderm cream for 3 days and my face is now free from eczema (I have not used steroid cream to achieve this improvement) I am delighted with these results. The products are pleasant and easy to use and at last I feel that I am able to control this distressing condition. As soon as I feel the first sign of itching, I spray the area and the inflammation does not start or develop further.” |
